Chaotic maternal care can disrupt the baby’s brain development by not giving consistent care

Mothers, put down your smartphones when caring for your babies! That’s the message from researchers at the University of California, Irvine. They found that fragmented and chaotic maternal care can disrupt proper brain development, which can lead to emotional disorders later in life. The study said that although the findings were made in mice, the results apply to humans who are distracted by phones and other gadgets. UCI News
